Where in London will you be going?
While we were initially praying about a district of London called Greenwich, it seems like we can’t commit till we get there and see what happens and where He leads. The place that I get really excited about an area called Kings Cross. This is a portion of London that is a major intersecting port of the underground tube system and train station. That means that everyone coming from any part of London, or even coming from Paris, would end up on the doorstep of Kings Cross. Along with this is the fact that within a twenty minute tube ride are countless small communities of Muslim, Jewish, homeless, and Polish just to name a few.
Its pretty exciting to think about what God could do in an area that connects one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.
Here is a map of the location. Just look at all of those different colored lines… each represents a tube line coming from a different part of London!
What are you doing while you are there?
I’m excited about the opportunity to be part of church plant from the groundwork stages. Getting things rolling over there with a small team sounds like it will be an awesome thing and also an experiencing requiring a whole lot of flexibility with the new challenges of each day. Registering the church, finding locations, sharing Jesus with people, looking for the needs, meeting the needs (through food, practical needs, and always the gospel), and encouraging the body of Christ already there is paramount.
We always say that our goal is to:
1. Preach the gospel,
2. Teach the word, and
3. Reach the world.
Why London?

What are you going to be doing to support yourself?
My intention is to get a job. Getting a job in another country tends be a little more difficult and this is no exception. A business in the UK has to provide evidence to their government that the person they are hiring is filling a position in a way that a national couldn’t. After they prove that, then I might be able to get a visa. All that said, finding a job will be tough and much easier with a face associated with my portfolio. It looks like I may have to wait till I get there to find anything concrete. I know that God can give favor though and I continue the job hunt.
It is looking like the first few months of being will be important in finding a job. I know that the LORD might provide in other ways but I never want to assume, so I am setting my sights on job hunting part of my first bit there.
What is the potential timeline before your departure?

There is a God who can supernaturally give all kinds of favor with things and can mix and smooth things for me, but here is my schedule until London.
How long will you be in London?
I am technically committed for two years up through the 2012 Olympics. I do, however, hope to go or stay where ever God puts me. The timeline and locations after 2012 (and even before) are totally in His hands.
Do you have some sort of obnoxious magnet or something that I can put on my fridge?
